We've all been there. People ask us what we want for our birthday, for Christmas, and so on. We are reluctant to give them suggestions but at the same time, we'd hate for them to go and buy something we won't use. Wishlist is a service for you and your group to buy each other gifts you will love. No more guessing, no more random gifts.
After you create your account, you can set up a group, and send out invites to your friends. This can be your family, your group of coworkers, etc. You can be in more than one group. Once your friends start arriving, you can all start adding items to your own wishlists; things you'd like other to buy for you if they were looking for ideas. Make sure to add a good variety of gifts.
You can browse your friends' lists. If there is something that you'd like to buy for someone, you can commit to buy it. This lets other people know that you're already on it; and it avoids duplicates! Now, the important part: the owner of that list doesn't get notified, and can never see what people are buying for them.
